What is the Patient Referral Program?

The Patient Referral Program is designed to generate leads for practitioners. Many patients visit our website each month seeking specific product recommendations, and we help connect them with a health-care professional (HCP) for personalized guidance.

Patients that are not connected to a DFH practitioner account can sign up and select one in their area. Once connected, and consulted by receiving a product recommendation, the practitioner will begin earning commissions.

How does a patient referral find a practitioner?

The patient visits designsforhealth.mom and enters their zip code to explore up to five practitioner dispensaries in their area. The patient will choose a practitioner from the list provided.

Step by Step — How to Earn a Commission for practitioners:

Step 1: Log in to your account at designsforhealth.mom

Step 2: Navigate to My Account

Step 3: Select Transactions under My Rewards to view all patient order, including these from referrals

Step 4: Click anywhere on the transaction line with the Referral Lead icon shown

Step 5: On the Transaction Detail page, you can see the full order and contact information for the lead. Create an email to the patient and include your unique Virtual Dispensary link or an eScript link. (copy below as an example)

Step 6: Once the referred patient purchases using the included link, the sale becomes commissionable, and every subsequent sale will also be commissionable.

Best practices: Follow up with the patient lead via email encouraging them to make their first purchase. You can also share your eScript or VD link on social media, or include it in a QR code on in-office literature with a clear call to action. Any of these methods will help ensure the patient is consulted — securing commission on their current and future orders.

How do you qualify for Designs for Health’s Patient Referral Program?

To qualify for new leads you must be at Level 2 of the DFH Rewards Program.

All practitioners who are part of our DFH Rewards Program (Level 2 and above) are automatically enrolled. Don’t want to take part? No problem. You can opt-out here:

1. Simply log onto the DFH website: designsforhealth.mom

2. Go to My Accounts and the Dispensing Options (under the Account Setting section)

3. Switch off the toggle near the Patient Lead-Generation Opportunities

Please note that opting out of the Patient Referral Program will stop you from receiving any new leads to your Virtual Dispensary, and will prevent existing patients from locating your practitioner Virtual Dispensary. Patients can still access your Virtual Dispensary with a direct link

How does this program benefit you?

As part of DFH’s Rewards Program, the Patient Referral Program is designed to help grow your bottom line and increase your patient base by sharing access with the tens of thousands of unique visitors who come to designsforhealth.mom each month looking to buy supplements.

How does Designs for Health choose which practitioners’ Virtual Dispensaries to recommend to the referred patient?

The number of entries of a given Virtual Dispensary in our weighted lottery-based system is based on the practitioner’s current level in DFH’s Rewards Program as well as the practitioner's business address. Five practitioner Virtual Dispensary URLs will be supplied upon each request based on the geographical proximity to the patient's zip code.

This means that the more business that you do with Designs for Health, the greater chance your Virtual Dispensary has of being selected as one of the five recommendations provided to consumers.

After crossing the minimum threshold of $500 per month of business with DFH, each level in the DFH Rewards Program yields four times as many entries in the drawing than the preceding level.

For example, a practitioner in Level Two of our Rewards Program will have one entry into a given drawing. A practitioner in Level Three will have four entries; Level Four, 16 entries; Level Five, 64 entries; and a practitioner in Level Six will have 256 entries.

Can I update the address and specialty details associated with my practice for patients to view alongside my Virtual Dispensary link?

Yes! DFH Virtual Dispensaries have customization features that allow you to update your Specialty, Address, Logo, Bio, and About sections. Personalizing your DFH Virtual Dispensary makes it stand out from the crowd, increasing your chances of selection and purchases. Brand it with your own logo, bio, banner images, and practice details to better engage current and new patients. All fields are optional, so you choose how much information to display.

Updating your address and specialty are particularly important as these are what will show in the cards displayed to customers as part of the Patient Referral Program.

How do I set up my Virtual Dispensary?

As a Designs for Health valued practitioner, your Virtual Dispensary is already set up and ready to use. Here are two ways to find your personalized URL:

1. Log in to your Designs for Health account and go to My Account > Virtual Dispensary

2. Or access it via the Home tab in the Well World™ practitioner portal

Can I supply custom discount codes to my Virtual Dispensary?

Yes, you can create your own discount codes through My Account on designsforhealth.mom. Simply select Virtual Dispensary under Dispensary Promotions to access our self-service tool for generating single-use or recurring discount codes. These codes can be shared directly with patients in-office or via email, but they may not be shared publicly, such as on websites or social media platforms.

Can I place my personalized Virtual Dispensary link on my personal website or social media platforms?

If I opt-out now, can I rejoin the program in the future?

Yes, you can opt back into the Patient Referral Program at any time.

3. Switch the toggle back to on, near the Patient Lead-Generation Opportunities.

Can my patient be consulted from an eScript in Well World and my Designs for Health account?

Yes. Here are the different paths a Patient Referral can take to become a commissionable conversion:

1. The patient completes a purchase using the practitioner’s Virtual Dispensary link (as outlined above in the step-by-step)

2. The practitioner sends an eScript via Well World™, and the patient completes the purchase

3. The practitioner sends an eScript via designsforhealth.mom, and the patient completes the purchase
